Get in Touch for Dutchess Records

Dutchess County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm someone’s custody, arrange a release, post bail, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the public office that holds the record for those services.

Official Dutchess Records Routing

Begin with the arresting agency or the facility that holds the person. The contacts below separate the Sheriff’s county records role from the Justice and Transition Center’s custody and jail-record role. For a photograph or booking file, use a written FOIL request and identify the event as precisely as possible.

Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office

Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office
108 Parker Avenue
Poughkeepsie, NY 12601
Main line: 845-486-3800

For a Sheriff arrest report or a Central Records matter, start with the main line and select the Records option. The Central Records Bureau number, 845-486-3810, appears in the 2020 DCSO Annual Report. It is a dated reference, so confirm current routing through the main number or the Sheriff’s current FOIL contact path.

Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center

Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center
150 North Hamilton Street
Poughkeepsie, NY 12601
Main line: 845-486-3900
Administrative hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

For a jail booking, custody, release, or photograph request, use the DCJTC FOIL request route and send a written request to DCJTCFoilRequests@dutchessny.gov. The facility says it will acknowledge the request, provide status, or give instructions within five business days. That response window does not guarantee release of a booking photograph.

Use the record route that fits the question:

  • For current county custody, follow the Dutchess custody and booking path, which routes through the county-linked locator and may not show historical arrests or photographs.
  • For a particular Sheriff arrest report, call DCSO first and ask where to direct the written FOIL request.
  • For a person who may be under county supervision for an unresolved warrant, use the official links and safe resolution guidance on Most Wanted.
  • For a state-prison sentence, use the NYS DOCCS incarcerated-person lookup, which is separate from a Dutchess booking record.
  • For a federal detainee or inmate, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator; for current immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator.
  • For a court outcome after an arrest, use New York eCourts or contact the court clerk. A missing custody result does not establish that no arrest or case exists.

The County’s general FOIL information describes 25 cents per printed 8.5-by-11-inch page, actual reproduction cost for electronic media, and possible employee-time charges after more than two hours of staff work, with consultation. New York Public Officers Law §§84–90 and §89 govern the request process.
